Consortium Plans Seminars to Help Business Leaders

In September business managers began invaluable training that could save their companies thousands of dollars. The Consortium for Supply Chain Management Studies at Saint Louis University is providing the seminars, which feature some of the field's top experts.
Supply chain management is the concept of connecting every link of business, from purchasing to selling. Saint Louis University developed the new program with the support of the local business community.
Remaining dates on the fall/winter schedule are as follows:
- "Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the New Millennium," presented by Dr. Donald Bowersox, James Morehouse and Joe Andraski, will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, in the St. Louis Room of Busch Memorial Center. It is supported by the Counsel of Logistics Management (CLM).
- "Negotiating Contract in Supply Chain Management," presented by Jim Schmitz, will be held between 8 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at the Holiday Inn Southwest Viking Conference Center, 10709 Watson Road.
- "Supply Chain Management: Techniques and Tools" by Tim Underhill and Dr. Robert Kemp will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 6, 7 and 8, at the Renaissance Conference Center at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
