Grad School Earns High Marks
in Minority Report

Black Issues in Higher Education ranks Saint Louis University's Graduate School seventh in the number of doctoral degrees granted to African-Americans in the field of education. The findings were released as part of the publication's Top 100 Minority Degree Producers report for all universities in the United States.

Saint Louis University has a continuing goal of increasing opportunities for graduate education among federally designated underrepresented minority groups and, in particular, African-American students. The enrollment of African-American graduate students has increased by 140 percent since 1990.

On the minority degree rankings, Saint Louis University also ranked 32nd in the total number of African-American doctoral degrees in all disciplines and 82nd in the total number of minority doctoral degrees in all disciplines.
