Publications Office Wins Awards

The Saint Louis University office of publications recently won awards in a competition sponsored by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

The print version of Grand Connections won a bronze award for overall publications excellence. Joe Muehlenkamp is the editor. Laura Geiser won a bronze medal for writing for a story on marriage that appeared in Universitas, the University's alumni magazine. Matt Krob won a bronze medal for designing the cover of this year's Billiken men's soccer media guide.

In addition, University president Lawrence Biondi, SJ, took top honors, a gold medal, for his President's Message column in Universitas.

The awards will be given out at the CASE conference meeting this January in St. Louis. Seventy-nine universities and colleges entered this year's awards competition, and there were a total of 788 entries.
