Saint Louis University's office of scholarship/financial aid staff is receiving accolades for its tireless work and commitment to students. The office recently was named the Best Missouri Office of Scholarship/Financial Aid by the Missouri Association of Financial Aid Personnel (MASFAP). In addition, David Mallory, assistant director of the office, was named best Missouri male financial aid professional, and Stan Eddy, financial aid specialist, was named best Missouri technical support financial aid professional.
MASFAP asked its members to nominate those individuals and schools that epitomized the best in the Missouri financial aid profession. The winners of this Best of Missouri Financial Aid Profession statewide competition were announced in November at MASFAP's Fall Conference.
"Saint Louis University and I are truly fortunate to have such an outstanding team of dedicated, student-oriented, scholarship and financial aid professionals," said Hal Deuser, director of scholarship/financial aid.
The office of scholarship/financial aid also recently was recognized as a "Super Financial Aid Office" in a national survey of college guidance counselors conducted by the Kaplan Education Foundation. The office's "Super" recognition is noted in Kaplan's College Catalog 2000, a compilation of the survey's results.
