TThe Staff Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the latest staff member to be selected as a "SLU Star." This employee is being honored because a fellow member of the University community praised her for recent instances in which she performed "above and beyond" and demonstrated the Ignatian ideals of magis, a striving for excellence, and cura personalis, a personal concern and respect for others. Using the nominators' own words, the committee congratulates this month's SLU Star.
Pam Mueller, OSU
(1818 Advanced College Credit Program): "Sr. Pam Mueller's work is consistently a caring kind of ministry to the high school teachers and students she serves. This showed especially in her care for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the 1818 program. She (and her assistant, of course) made it a really good celebration that reached and showed appreciation for many persons involved in this program, including SLU faculty who serve as liaisons for the disciplines. She is an excellent PR person for SLU, dealing with 68 high schools in 17 disciplines and 3,000-plus students. She deals well with all -- with graciousness -- and she portrays the mission of SLU."
