A weekend reflection on "Forgiveness and the Christian Life" will be led by Jim Voiss, SJ, assistant professor theological studies, as he directs the faculty-staff retreat March 18 and 19.
Retreatants will be invited to reflect on scripture and their life stories and come to see forgiveness as an expression of love and faith: a choice made for the good of the other even at the price of personal sacrifice, and an act of trust in meaning that lies beyond what one can control.
The overnight retreat opens Saturday at 9 a.m. and closes Sunday at 3 p.m. It will be held at Mercy Center, 2039 N. Geyer Road in west St. Louis County. The cost is $40. The retreat is subsidized by campus ministry. Spouses or friends are welcome. Early registration is required.
