'Women, Politics and Power' to be Discussed at Campus Symposium


The Saint Louis University History Colloquia and Speakers Series, "Women, Politics and Power: A Symposium," will be presented from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 27, in the Knights Room of Pius XII Memorial Library.

The event will feature Blanche Wiesen Cook, author of a prize winning biography on Eleanor Roosevelt; Harriett Woods, former Lieutenant Governor of Missouri and founder of National Women's Political Caucus; and Dr. Elisabeth Israels Perry, the John Francis Bannon, SJ, chair in history and American Studies.

The symposium is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will follow.

The Saint Louis University History Colloquia and Speakers Series is co-sponsored by the department of history, women's studies, the women's commission, and the dean of College of Arts and Sciences.
