Five to be Recognized as SLU's Women of the Year

In celebration of the year 2000, the Women's Commission is recognizing five outstanding women of Saint Louis University.

Honorees this year as the Saint Louis University "Women of the Year" are Dr. Shirley Dowdy, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; Joan A. Range, ASC, associate professor of theological studies; Kathy Lund Dean, a doctoral student in management; Mary Flick, associate vice provost for mission and ministry; and Maryer Thomas, administrative secretary, office of multicultural affairs.

The selections for Women of the Year were based on commitment, recognition, sensitivity and dedication, and service to others. Nomination letters were received from members of the University community.

A luncheon honoring this year's winners will be at April 13, and reservations are due by April 7.
