University Condolences

James Giesler, a maintenance worker for facilities services, died Sept. 17. He was 52. The brother-in-law of fellow SLU employee Diane Giesler, Mr. Giesler joined Saint Louis University in October 1975. He is survived by his wife and four children and brothers and sisters.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 20 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto, Mo.

Edward P. Wuller, former employee with University printing services, died Sept. 28. He was 77. Mr. Wuller joined Saint Louis University in February 1949. Wuller Hall, home of the University Bookstore, was named for him after nearly 40 years of service. He retired in December 1988. Mr. Wuller's brother, Charles, was a long-time member of the business school faculty and his sister, Margaret, served as the University registrar. A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 3 at St. Kevin's Church.

Raymond "Hank" Pauk, former employee in the registrar's office at Park's College of Engineering and Avation when it was located in Cahokia, Ill., died on Sept. 2. He was 65. Pauk joined the University in April 1983 and left in 1994.

  • Catherine A. Mueller, volunteer clinical faculty member for the nuclear medicine technology program in the School of Allied Health Professions, on the death of her son, Scott Alan Mueller, on Sept. 3.

  • Dolores A. Seats, secretary for the department of aviation science, on the death of her mother, Rosemary Carron, on Sept. 11.

  • Mary Diane Giesler, QA utilization manager for UMG support services, on the death of her mother, Mary Dolores Fehlber, on Sept. 17.

  • Sophia Toumbalakis, development assistant for corporate and foundation relations, on the death of her mother, Bessie Philipotis, on Oct. 4.
