Gaslight Square Preservationist to Speak at SLU

ST. LOUIS -- Preservationist Patrick Schneider will discuss the history of the Gaslight Square district as well as efforts to maintain the area during an upcoming lecture at Saint Louis University. A building contractor, Schneider will enliven his talk with an extensive slide show on the square and explain his group's attempts to preserve not only the memory of this vibrant area but also the fast-disappearing physical remains of its heyday as an entertainment mecca.
