Jack Jewsbury Chosen C-USA Pre-season Player of the Year

St. Louis - Conference USA's men's soccer coaches have selected Saint Louis University senior forward Jack Jewsbury (Springfield, Mo. / Kickapoo) as the preseason C-USA Player of the Year in the league's annual preseason poll. Senior defenders Jason Cole (Kansas City, Mo. / Rockhurst) and Mike Kirchhoff (Fenton, Mo. / Vianney) joined Jewsbury on the preseason All-Conference squad.

Although the Billikens (18-2-0 overall, 9-1-0 in C-USA in 2001) have won both the C-USA regular-season and postseason tournament titles each of the past two seasons, the league's coaches selected UAB to bump Saint Louis from its perch atop the league.
