The Continental Life Building

The Continental Life Building, a legendary skyscraper located in the Grand Center entertainment district, is offering apartment homes to the Saint Louis University community. This historical landmark is within walking distance of the University, and all units -- from studios to luxury penthouse apartments -- have been completely renovated.

For the first time Owen Development is offering apartments in the Continental, located at 3615 Olive St. Considered to be St. Louis' finest Art Deco skyscraper, the building spans 22 stories, providing unparalleled views in all directions. The new development offers 107 apartments, from efficiency units to luxury penthouse apartments.

The Continental Life Building, which boasted many prestigious tenants, was built during America's skyscraper boom of the late 1920s and is a contemporary of America's other great Art Deco skyscrapers. Unfortunately, the once proud building began to decline in the early '60s as urban decay began to creep into the Midtown area. Because of the building's historical importance and high visibility, it became a development priority of Saint Louis University, Grand Center and the City of St. Louis.

In addition to being a part of Grand Center, tenants are only blocks from downtown and the Central West End. Apartments are currently being leased for move-in after August 15.
