SLU Theatre to Present "Trojan Women"

Saint Louis University Theatre announces the remainder of its 2004-2005 schedule.

"Trojan Women"

Great art has no limits of locality or time. Its tidings are timeless, and its messages are universal. “The Trojan Women” was first performed in 415 B.C. from a story of the siege of Troy. The terrors of war have not changed in three thousand years. What Euripides had to say of war then is what we are now still learning: Even when it is most triumphant, it brings as much wretchedness to the victors as to the vanquished. The tragedy of war has not changed in any essential way.

  • 8 p.m. April 15, 16, 22 and 23
  • 2 p.m. April 17
