Alumni Relations Offers Valentine to SLU Couples

“Roses are red, Billikens are blue. How many couples started at SLU?”

This trivia question greets more than 5,000 couples as they open a special valentine from Saint Louis University’s office of alumni relations. The valentine, sent to married couples in which both people hold degrees from the University, was mailed Feb. 1, in plenty of time for Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14.

”We wanted to let our SLU couples know that we were thinking of them on this special day,” said Stephen Petersen, Ed.D., associate vice president for alumni relations. “So many couples and families began here at SLU. It’s a great place to fall in love.

“We hope this valentine helps us build continued goodwill with our alumni and helps them feel positive about their alma mater.”

By the way, the answer to the trivia question: More than 5,000 couples got their start at SLU. In addition, these couples produced 1,672 children who also became SLU alums.
