ST. LOUIS -- Saint Louis University students from the nutrition and dietetics department and the fine arts department joined forces to craft a fund-raiser to benefit a souper cause.
The Saint Louis University fine arts department hosted sessions for volunteers to make ceramic bowls. Then students filled bowls with soup, which were sold to raise funds for the Saint Louis University Campus Kitchen hunger relief effort.
A ceramic bowl and soup with bread sold for $10, and the same meal without the bowl cost $5. All proceeds benefited Campus Kitchen.
The first part of the fund-raiser was held Wednesday during lunch at the Allied Health cafeteria. The second part will occur from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Knights Room of Pius.
