SLU Fraternity to be Featured on CBS Early Show

ST. LOUIS -- Members of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Saint Louis University will appear on the CBS Early Show at 8:08 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, as part of a story about Jack Orchard. Orchard is the founder of the Jack Orchard ALS Foundation, which helps people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, commonly known as "Lou Gehrig’s Disease."

Phi Delta Theta fraternity has worked closely with the organization to raise money for the Jack Orchard ALS Foundation, including helping plan an annual golf tournament that has raised nearly $100,000 over the last three years.

Fraternity members also participate in the Orchard Foundation’s Extra Hands for ALS, in which they spend two hours every week with a person who has ALS doing household chores and other tasks for them.

Because of their work with the organization, members of Phi Delta Theta will appear in the story to air on CBS this Wednesday.
