Lynda R. Campbell Memorial Lecture Series Focuses on Literacy and DiversityCarol Westby, Ph.D., will present “21st Century Literacy in a Diverse World” at the Lynda R. Campbell Memorial Lecture Series from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, in the Busch Student Center, St. Louis Room. Westby is a child language expert and fellow with the American Speech Language Hearing Association. The lecture series is a tribute to Lynda R. Campbell, Ph.D., who passed away in 2001. She was an associate professor and the past chair of the department of communication sciences and disorders at Saint Louis University. Campbell was nationally recognized for her publications and research in multicultural issues and dedication to her students. The lecture is co-sponsored by the College of Public Service, the department of communication sciences and disorders, and The Paul C. Reinert, S.J., Clinics for Family and Child Development.
