Grants.gov Training Workshop PlannedAll federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), are quickly moving forward to implement electronic grant submission through the Grants.gov web portal. To assist with this transition, the Office of Research Services Administration (ORSA) will be holding several workshops for faculty and business managers to prepare University personnel for impending deadlines for electronic submissions. ORSA has also developed a list of resources regarding grants.gov on its website: http://www.slu.edu/research/grantsgov.html. At the same time, and partially to help ease this transition, the University has developed an online transmittal and approval process which will be rolled out incrementally with grants.gov deadlines. This online process will be covered in the grants.gov training sessions. All sessions will be held 3-5 p.m. Seating is still available for the following sessions:
Additional sessions will be added as needed, and offered in advance of grants.gov deadlines that occur later in the year. The complete schedule is available at www.slu.edu/research/workshopdt.html Anyone planning to submit an NIH, NSF, or other federal agency proposal should plan on attending one of these sessions. Business managers responsible for helping faculty develop grant applications and coordinate business process for grants should also attend. Registration is required and should be made by e-mailing Bridget Turner at turnerbk@slu.edu. |
