Saint Louis University Business Professor Is Named NDTA Educator Award WinnerThe National Defense Transportation Association has named Saint Louis University’s Ik-Whan Kwon, Ph.D. (Consortium for Supply Chain Management/business) the 2006 recipient of the NDTA Educator Distinguished Service Award. A professor of decision sciences and management information systems at SLU’s John Cook School of Business, Kwon is recognized internationally for his specialization in supply chain design and management. Kwon is director of the Consortium for Supply Chain Management Studies at the Cook School. A 2001 Fulbright Scholar to the School of Public Policy and Management at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, Kwon is the author of Statistical Decision Theory with Applications to Business and Economics — Bayesian Approach. Kwon also serves as a consultant and expert witness in the areas of supply chain management, total quality management and health care economics. The NDTA Educator Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding efforts to further the NDTA’s mission to foster a strong global transportation and distribution system in support of national security and the economy. The organization is a non-political, non-profit association of more than 8,000 government, military and industry professionals from around the world. The award will be presented to Dr. Kwon during the NDTA’s 60th Annual Forum and Exposition in Memphis Sept. 23-27. |
