Will the Judges Find in Favor of Saint Louis University’s Singing Law Students at Sept. 16 CARE-aoke Event?

It’s not quite American Idol, but Saint Louis University law students are sharpening their musical skills for an evening of CARE-aoke competition guaranteed to entertain the audience and help the local chapter of Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

Law school professors Fred Bloom, Eric Miller and Kerry Ryan will take on the roles of Simon, Randy and Paula as they judge 25 student karaoke performances from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. At 10 p.m., it’s open mic karaoke for the rest of the student body. The event will be held at Humphrey’s Bar and Restaurant, 3700 Laclede Ave.

Tickets are $20 and will be on sale Sept. 11-15 in the School of Law Atrium, 3700 Lindell Blvd. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the evening of the performance.

The CARE-aoke Charitable Fundraiser is sponsored by SLU’s Student Bar Association. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers, Big Sisters. The event is part of their ongoing project to provide funding and volunteer time to the local chapter.
