Learn How to Start Your Own Business at Saint Louis University’s Entrepreneur Workshop Sept. 29

Statistics show that a majority of entrepreneurs and small business owners don’t come from a business or technology background. However, they all started with a new idea or invention and turned it into a success story.

Aspiring entrepreneurs can learn how to take their ideas from concept to reality on Friday, Sept. 29 at Saint Louis University’s 50 Steps in 50 Days to Starting a Business. Experts from SLU’s John Cook School of Business Center for Entrepreneurial Studies will present key information and answer questions about starting a small business. Topics include:

  • The entrepreneurial mindset
  • Breaking through the wall of fear
  • Personal assessment and timing for starting a business
  • 10 tips for entrepreneurial success
  • Where to get start-up money
  • Developing a business plan
  • WHO: Kevin A. Schulte and Jerome A. Katz, Ph.D., Smurfit Stone Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Saint Louis University’s John Cook School of Business
  • WHAT: 50 Steps in 50 Days to Starting a Business
  • WHEN: 12:30 -2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 (2:30 – 4:30 p.m. follow-on session)
  • WHERE: McDonnell Douglas Hall, Room 0001, 3450 Lindell Blvd.
