Soccer Update: College Cup Tickets Go on Sale; Men Start Homestand; Women Win Again

Fans can order tickets to the 2006 NCAA Men's College Cup in St. Louis beginning today. Individual tickets may be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling the Saint Louis University Billiken Ticket Office at 314-977-4SLU. Group tickets (11 or more) are available through the Billiken Ticket Office. The Division I men's soccer national championship takes place Dec. 1 and 3 at Robert R. Hermann Stadium on the Saint Louis University campus. The event is hosted by SLU and the St. Louis Sports Commission.

Tickets for the College Cup are $50 (midfield), $40 (sideline ends) and $30 (goal line bleachers). They are sold as all-session packages and include tickets to the semifinal doubleheader and the championship game. Single-session tickets will be sold only if seats remain available immediately prior to the College Cup. Tickets are subject to Ticketmaster convenience charges and handling fees.

Although the region has previously hosted the NCAA Men's College Cup seven times, this marks its first appearance in St. Louis since 1975. With the event back in the Gateway City - a soccer hotbed and home to one of the most successful Division I programs - demand for tickets is expected to be high. Temporary seating and hospitality tents will be added on the north and south sides of Robert R. Hermann Stadium to raise its capacity to more than 7,200. The venue is recognized as one of the top on-campus soccer facilities in the country.
