Billiken Update: Men's Soccer Blanks No. 9 Indiana in Nationally Televised Game

St. Louis -- Saint Louis freshman keeper Ross Kaufman made two saves to shut out ninth-ranked Indiana 1-0 tonight in a men's non-conference soccer match at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. Senior midfielder Alex Matteson scored in the 36th minute for the winner.

Women's Soccer:

St. Louis -- Saint Louis University takes on SEMO at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

Women's Volleyball:

The Saint Louis volleyball team closed out play at the Loyola Invitational with a sweep over the host Ramblers 30-25, 30-28, 30-27. The win is the second straight for the Bills and ups their record to 7-5.

Women's Tennis:

East Lansing, Mich. -- Saint Louis completed play at the La Salle Bank Spartan Invitational on the campus of Michigan State University on Sunday. Senior Amanda Hellberg remained undefeated in the fall season after picking up wins against Ball State, Michigan State and Detroit Mercy.

College Cup Tickets:

St. Louis -- Fans can order tickets to the 2006 NCAA Men's College Cup in St. Louis beginning today. Individual tickets may be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling the Saint Louis University Billiken Ticket Office at 314-977-4SLU. Group tickets (11 or more) are available through the Billiken Ticket Office. The Division I men's soccer national championship takes place Dec. 1 and 3 at Robert R. Hermann Stadium on the Saint Louis University campus. The event is hosted by SLU and the St. Louis Sports Commission.
