Ignatian Year Continues in Grand Rounds EventContinue the Ignatian Anniversaries Year by attending Internal Medicine’s “Grand Rounds,” sponsored by the division of general internal medicine.John W. Padberg, S.J., director of the Institute of Jesuit Sources and internationally acclaimed speaker on Jesuit history and spirituality, will discuss “Jesuits in Health Care and Medical Education” from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29 in the Learning Resource Center, Room A. SLU’s Ignatian Anniversaries Year celebration is part of a worldwide phenomenon. Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J., superior general of the Society of Jesus, has asked that Jesuits worldwide mark a yearlong celebration of three significant Jesuit anniversaries: the 500th anniversary of the births of St. Francis Xavier and Blessed Peter Faber, two of the first Jesuits, as well as the 450th anniversary of the death of St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits.
