Saint Louis University Russian Studies Degree Overview

There is such a demand for graduates who speak Russian that the U.S. government has identified mastery of the language as a critical need. Saint Louis University is the only institution in the St. Louis region that offers an undergraduate degree program in Russian.

At SLU, Russian studies students work closely in small classes with experienced professors. Students in SLU's Russian studies program develop both spoken and written proficiency of the language, while also studying Russian history, politics, literature, theology and philosophy.

What You'll Learn in SLU's Russian Studies Degree Program

You'll hear lectures presented by visitors from Russia, or cook a Russian meal and eat it with fellow students in the Russian Club.

You will also have a chance to study abroad at Saint Petersburg State University (Smolny College), Russia's first liberal arts institution. (Learn about studying abroad at SLU.)
