Hospitality Industry Advisory Board Members - David Peckinpaugh
As President of Maritz Travel Company, David Peckinpaugh leads one of the largest meeting, event and incentive travel management companies in the world. Peckinpaugh manages more than $600 million in client programs that combine the art of motivation with the science of technology to develop customized events delivering targeted business results.
Prior to joining Maritz Travel, David led the business development efforts for HelmsBriscoe. Prior to that role he served as the president and CEO of the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau and as the Chief Marketing Officer for Conferon Global Services (now Experient Inc., a Maritz Travel Company).
David's career also includes more than 15 years in the hotel industry, serving in sales and marketing roles at the Broadmoor Hotel, La Costa Resort & Spa, and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in Denver, San Diego, and Long Beach, and with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
David is a board and executive committee member of the U.S. Travel Association, co-chair of the Meetings Means Business Coalition of USTA, and a Trustee of the PCMA Education Foundation. He also serves on advisory boards for Tourism Vancouver and the St. Louis CVC, and is a Certified Meeting Professional.
David lives in St. Louis with his wife Jill and their children Samie, 15, and Max, 13.
