The 2017-18 Schedule is Available!
The 2017-2018 class schedule is now available. Registration opens on Monday, April 3rd in Banner Self-Service to all SPS students.

Please be sure to review the schedule. Your academic advisor will be available to help you plan your schedule. You are welcome to schedule a meeting to come in the office to meet in-person, via phone or by email.

Attention Graduates: The Grad Fair is This Week!
Graduation Fair is the primary time that caps, gowns and tassels are distributed. The Graduation Fair for the spring Commencement has been set as follows:

  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 6
  • 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 7

In addition, representatives are available to assist students with announcements, rings, frames and other graduation-related merchandise. If you are unable to attend the Graduation Fair, please call 314-531-7925 or email bksustlouis@bncollege.com. Keep in mind, each graduate is required to wear a cap and gown to participate in Pre-Commencement and Commencement.


Troy Turnipseed Named Associate Dean of Enrollment Services at SPS
Troy Turnipseed has been named the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management and Partnerships in the School for Professional Studies where he will oversee admissions, advising, marketing and partnerships as well as summer programs for the University.

Troy has nearly 15 years of experience working in higher education, with past roles at Saint Louis University including Director of Summer Studies in the Division of Enrollment Management, Director of the Career Resources Center and Associate Director of Graduate Business Programs in the John Cook School of Business, and Academic Advisor, Admissions Counselor and St. Louis Site Coordinator in the School for Professional Studies.

Throughout his career at Saint Louis University, Troy has been known as the face and voice of the MBA Program and has had the pleasure of representing the business school in Hong Kong and with Warren Buffet on multiple occasions. In addition, he has been the President of the SLU Staff Advisory Committee (twice) and President of the Graduate Business Student Services Association, an organization serving the needs of graduate student services professionals from universities and colleges across the country. He has also been recognized as a SLUStar by the University for his commitment to students.

A proud SPS alum, Troy earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies and Master of Business Administration degrees from Saint Louis University. He currently serves as Membership Chair and North Central Assistant Regional Vice President for the North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS). Additionally, he facilitates the New Administrator's Workshop at the Annual NAASS Conference - an all-day workshop to help on-board new administrators to summer sessions in a University-setting.

Troy is thrilled to be working with SPS students, faculty, staff and alumni again, and excited about the future of the school!

B.S.in Project Management offered at SLU!  
The School for Professional Studies is proud to announce the launch of its newest Bachelor's degree, this time in Project Management.

Financial Aid Corner
Financial aid awards have been posted for 2017-2018. 

To Access and Confirm Your Award: 

  1. Log into mySLU portal using your SLUNet ID and password.
  2. Click on the Student tab at the top.
  3. Select Financial Aid Awards from the Student Financial Services section.
  4. Select Aid Year 2017-2018 from the drop-down box, and click Submit.   Click on each tab to review important information. NOTE: You must read the terms and conditions of your financial aid award prior to reviewing/accepting your financial aid. You may need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to accept the terms and conditions.
  5. Click on the Accept Award Offer tab to review and accept or decline your award.
  6. Choose to accept the full amount, accept a partial amount or decline an amount for each component of your financial aid award.
    • To accept the full amount for all awards, click Accept Full Amount All Awards.
    • To accept a partial amount of an award, indicate that choice in the Award Decision dropdown box, type the desired amount in the Accept Partial Award box and click Submit Decision.
    • To decline an award, indicate that choice in the Award Decision dropdown box and click Submit Decision.

PLEASE NOTE: If you accept a student loan as part of your financial aid award, you also may be required to complete a Master Promissory Note (an agreement between a borrower and lender). For more information regarding loans, click here

Career Services is open all year for students and alumni.  Susan Gale, the career development specialist for SPS, is available in person, by telephone at 314-977-2830email or Skype. Daytime appointments can be made through mySLU. Other appointments are available by calling (314) 977-2828.  

Handshake, the internshiHandshakep and jobs database for students and alumni, can be accessed through mySLU orhttps://slu.joinhandshake.com.  Within Handshake are Interview Stream and SLUvisors, helpful tools for students and alumni.
