Organizational Health Initiative
Though the Organizational Health Initiative has access to and works with a variety of experts at Saint Louis University, there are a core group of individuals whose expertise is heavily utilized. This page provides some brief information about those experts.
OHI Associates possess expertise in numerous areas, including stress and stress management, work-life balance, employee health, retention and turnover, organizational assessment, strategy and planning, and organizational commucation.
They have been involved in assessment and intervention work for small and large, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
Leadership and Organizational Development Program Director
Matt Grawitch, Ph.D. is the Director of the Leadership and Organizational Development Program in the School for Professional Studies and also directs the Organizational Health Initiative. Matt has a background in Organizational Psychology with an emphasis in the areas of stress, work-life balance, and employee involvement. He also possesses expertise in the area of organizational assessment.
|Stephanie Mooshegian, Ph.D. is the Chair of the Organizational Studies Program in the School for Professional Studies. She has a background in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with an emphasis in research methods. She has expertise in organizational assessment, training and employee development, employee retention, and affective experiences in the workplace.
|John P. Buerck, Ph.D. is the Chair of the Computer Science Technology Program in the School for Professional Studies and also has a secondary appointment in the Health Informatics and Information Management department in the Doisy College of Health Science. John's research and expertise are in the areas of 1) applied informatics, 2) application development 3) curriculum design, development and evaluation, and 4) social, professional and ethical issues in business and technology.
|Jennifer Giancola, Ph.D. is the Dean of the School for Professional Studies. She earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology and served as the Program Director for the Organizational Studies Program prior to her appointment to dean. Her research interests include occupational stress, adult learning and mentoring.
