The admissions and advising staff assist with admission, orientation, academic planning and registration and are available to you during the day, in the evening and on Saturday mornings at each of our campus sites. Tanya Griffin, M.A.
Tanya received her B.A. in Political Science in 2001 and her M.A. in Higher Education Administration from SLU in 2009. She is proud to be a Billiken and understands the struggles of juggling full time work with school, family, and a social life. Tanya was an admissions counselor in the School for Professional Studies for three years before transitioning into her current role as Director of Enrollment Services. She truly enjoys helping students realize that a SLU degree can be a reality.

Debra has over 15 years of experience in education, holding several types of positions including instructor, program coordinator and an academic advisor. She also has experience in marketing, sales and sales management. Debra earned her master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Southern Illinois University. Her Spanish minor was completed at the University of Madrid; Madrid, Spain.
Justin Smith, M.S.
Justin earned a B.A. in History from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in 2008 and his M.S. in Higher Education with a concentration in College Administration and Leadership as well as Assessment and Evaluation from Kaplan University in 2012. He has over three years of college administration experience in both admissions and academic advising at both graduate and undergraduate levels. He enjoys working with students and helping them meet their goal of earning a degree.
Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Student Personnel Administration at Saint Louis University. She has been working for the School for Professional Studies for over two years and really enjoys interacting with SPS Students. As someone who works full-time and takes classes at night, Lauren understands the time commitments involved while juggling other responsibilities. She is eager to assist student in any way she can.

Lana Kelly, M.A.
Lana received her B.S. in Journalism at Missouri State University and her Master's degree in Higher Education from Saint Louis University. She has five years experience in the education field, working as an admissions counselor for undergraduate students and now an academic advisor in SPS. Lana is excited to be working with adult students and loves to see her students succeed. She's currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Higher Education Administration.
Eric earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Columbia College. He has experience working in financial aid and admissions at both the Graduate and Undergraduate levels and enjoys helping adult students achieve their educational goals.
Carol Guntorius, M.Ed.
Carol received her B.A. in Psychology in 2007 from Saint Louis University and went on to earn her M.Ed. in School and Guidance Counseling from Texas Christian University. She has a great passion for helping students achieve their goals and loves to see them succeed. Carol is excited to be back at the school where she completed her undergraduate studies and loves sharing stories of what campus "used to be like."
Beth is a graduate of Webster University with a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Media Communications. She is very excited to be working for Saint Louis University and looks forward to helping new students feel welcome at SPS. Having attended more than one undergraduate university, she understands the process of changing schools and the difficult decisions new students face in achieving their educational goals.
