Using SLU Gmail and the mySLU Portal
One of the most important benefits of becoming a SPS student is obtaining a SLU Google e-mail account. SLU Google e-mail is the official communication tool of the university; all of your official SLU correspondence will be sent to your SLU Google e-mail address.
However, your e-mail account gives you access to more than just e-mail! Your SLU NET ID (the part before the @ symbol in your e-mail address) is used to log you into mySLU, the online gateway that lets you register for classes or pay tuition through Banner Self-Service, take classes online with Blackboard, and participate in online chats and project collaboration through Google Apps.
Every student can access the university's wireless Internet system as an authenticated user. Simply follow the configuration instructions for your specific operating system. When you are asked for a user name and password, use your SLU e-mail username and password.
