Brief Bio
Joy Voss is the Interim Director of Field Experiences in the Department of Educational Studies. She has been working in the field of education for approximately 24 years. She received her master's degree in early childhood special education and her doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction focusing on technology in early childhood. Dr. Voss currently holds lifetime certification in the areas of learning disabilities, orthopedically handicapped, behavior disorder, early childhood special education and early childhood education. She regularly consults for ISTE on curriculum alignment with the NETS and NETS assessment. Prior to joining the faculty at Saint Louis University, she was a special educator in the St. Louis area. Dr. Voss is devoted to creating child-centered inclusive environments and experiences that inspire delight, curiosity, and joy for teacher candidates as well as the children they teach.
