Spain: Summer Semester in Madrid

During your stay in Madrid, you will have the choice of either living with a host family or renting an apartment for yourself or with a group.  Your decision will be indicated on your application.

Living With a Host Family
If you indicate that you would prefer to live with a host family, then you will be matched to a family that is affiliated with the program.  They usually are located very close to campus. You will be able to contact each other and arrange for your arrival well in advance of the trip.  Included in this plan are meals, internet, laundry, and other services.

Renting an Apartment
If you choose to rent an apartment, then you will be doing your own research and organize with your prospective roommates where you would like to live.  There are a number of helpful online resources for searching for housing.  Students who are in the program will have ample opportunity to meet each other through informational sessions and email.  Students will also be expected to notify the Law School as to the address of any such housing they have selected.  Any questions can be directed to Prof. Bill Johnson at
