Missouri Approved (Jury) Instructions Project
The Missouri Approved (Jury) Instructions project was initiated in an effort to gain better information about how jurors respond to instructions in the courtroom. The Committee for Missouri Approved Instructions (MAI) initiated a partnership with CISL for purposes of generating data on the impact of timing and wording of jury instructions. The collaboration, which is supported through a grant from the Missouri Bar Association, will involve developing original research as well as engaging SLU faculty members as consultants on an on-going basis. SLU Law students will have the opportunity to gain meaningful experience conducting interdisciplinary legal research by working with faculty members on the project through paid fellowships.
