A Social Justice Impairment: Eliminating Health Inequities

The School of Public Health and the School of Law Center for Health Law Studies hosted "A Social Justice Impairment: Eliminating Health Inequities," on Wednesday, March 21, in the auditorium at the Health Sciences Education Union.

Symposium participants included David Williams, M.P.H., Ph.D., Harvard School of Public Health, who delivered the keynote lecture; Lisa Cooper, M.D., M.P.H., the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and School of Medicine; Alvin Starks, W.K. Kellogg Foundation; and from Saint Louis University, Vence Bonham, J.D., adjunct professor of law; Keith Elder, Ph.D., M.P.H., associate professor of health management and policy; and Sidney D. Watson, J.D., professor of law.

Panelists began a dialogue with students and faculty about social justice and the role of individuals and institutions in addressing health inequities in the U.S.
