Apply Now for the BSSW Program
As an incoming freshman your admission to the University will be completed through the University's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. You may identify social work as your intended major, however, the school has an additional application process which typically occurs at the end of your sophomore year.
Current SLU Student
If you are a current SLU student that would like to transfer to social work the Intra-University Transfer Application (pdf) should be completed by the Dean's Office through which you are currently advised. In addition to the transfer application, you will need to complete the school application process. Your records will then be sent to the Director of the BSSW Program for evaluation and to determine how much of your previous academic work can be counted toward the BSSW degree.
Student Enrolled at a Different University
If you plan to transfer to SLU, you must first apply for admission to the University through the University's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Once you are admitted to the University the BSSW Program Director will evaluate your transcripts from your prior academic work. The Policies and Procedures for Granting Academic Credit to Transfer Students will be used to determine which of your credits may be accepted toward the BSSW degree. In addition to the University admission application, you will need to complete the school application process.
Note: If you are granted academic credit for one or more of the lower division courses, a letter of reference will be required.
