The
monthly SAC meetings bring top university administrators
and staff together, face to face, every month. You get to
ask questions directly to the decision- and policy-makers.
And you can make suggestions that contribute to bettering
your job, your school and Saint Louis University at large.
Rest assured, your suggestions will be heard by the "right"
people.
When
you participate in SAC, you'll find many occasions to use
your voice for influencing university policy. Currently,
SAC members sit on the President's Coordinating Council,
Board of Trustee sub-committees, and other influential university
committees, ensuring direct input -- from the staff perspective
-- to those committees' policies and procedures. To date,
SAC has influenced university-wide policy relating to jury
duty pay, corrective counseling, internal promotion/transfers,
flextime scheduling, holidays, and recognition programs.
With
all SAC can offer you, perhaps the most important is the
chance to meet other employees throughout the university,
to feel connected and to contribute.
Go ahead,
empower yourself in your new job. Attend a SAC meeting to
see for yourself what this group brings to the staff at
SLU and what it can bring to you. For more information,
