EARNINGS CODES
An earnings code is a three-digit alpha/numeric value that defines the specific
type of earnings for an employee, such as regular, vacation, or holiday pay.
The earnings code structure has been established to be consistent for all employees
across all funds and to ensure vacation, sick, family leave, and other accruals
are accurately maintained. However, the Earnings Codes are eligible for particular
E-Classes (see
listing), which enable Banner to proper liquidate the necessary, or indicated,
funding in the Finance module.
