Welcome to Career Services at Saint Louis University!

    Kim Reitter, Director Career Services

Our mission is to help individuals explore, discover, and connect their personal definition of career to the community and world of work.  We want students to graduate with a clear sense of who they are and what they want to do for a career.

Since career development is a life-long process, the career decision students make in college may be the first of many.  Career Services works individually with students to help them explore their interests, skills, personality, and work values so that they can determine a career path that they are passionate about!

Once they have an idea about their path, however, it is just the beginning of the road. Experiential education is an essential component of the college experience. Whether your student volunteers, works at an internship, or gets field experience through the major, this experience bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience.

How can you help your student in career development? Take a few minutes to look through our web pages at the various resources we have for students.  Be encouraging and open to your student’s interests.  Realize that mistakes help your student learn about self and the world. Most of all encourage your son or daughter to make an appointment with a career counselor.  Together we can help prepare today’s college students for a fulfilling career!

Cordially,

Kim Reitter
Director, Career Services
