Scholarship/Financial Aid Programs
There are are two main ways to help finance a Saint Louis University education:
- Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, talent, service, leadership and financial need.
- Financial aid comes in the form of grants and loans, some of which will have to be repaid.
Scholarships
Several four-year merit-based scholarships, ranging from $3,000 to $15,000 per year, are available to incoming freshmen. The Billiken, Ignatian, University Deans' and Provost scholarships do not require a separate scholarship application; the Application for Freshman Admission automatically qualifies applicants for consideration.
SLU also offers two merit-based scholarships that require separate applications: the Presidential Scholarship and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship. The online applications for these scholarships are available between October 1 and December 1 of each year.
