Compton Ave [<a href=";hl=en&amp;q=1+S+Compton+Ave,+St+Louis,+St+Louis+City,+Missouri+63103&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=58.598104,107.226563&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;cd=1&amp;geocode=FfB9TQIdHECf-g&amp;z=17&amp;g=1+S+Compton+Ave,+St+Louis,+St+Louis+City,+Missouri+63103" target="_blank">map</a>].</p><p>At 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, the <a href="" target="_blank">men's squad</a> takes on Harris-Stowe State University in an exhibition game. Their home opener is Friday, Nov. 14, against the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Official tip-off for the first regular season game is 7 p.m. Doors open for both games at 6 p.m.</p><p>The <a href="" target="_blank">women's team</a> gets into action Friday, Nov. 7, in an exhibition game against Washington University that tips off at 7 p.m. at the arena. Several surface lots are marked with large, lighted signs.</p><p>Below is quick overview of Chaifetz Arena parking options. It's important to note that following parking garages and surface lots feature security presence during all events. </p><ul><li><strong>SLU's Olive Garage:</strong> This covered SLU garage located at the corner of Olive Street and Compton Avenue offers 1,800 spaces. </li><li><strong>Washington</strong><strong> Lot-South: </strong>Located at the southwest corner of Washington and Josephine Baker boulevards, this SLU lot features 138 spaces. </li><li><strong>Washington</strong><strong> Lot-North:</strong> Located on the northwest corner of Washington and Josephine Baker, this SLU lot features 118 spaces. </li><li><strong>Theresa Lot: </strong>Located at the northwest corner of Olive Street and North Theresa Avenue, this SLU lot features 168 spaces. </li><li><strong>Monastero Lot:</strong> Located at the SLU banquet facility, Il Monastero, 3050 Olive Street, this lot features 78 spaces. </li><li><strong>Sigma-Aldrich Lot:</strong> Sigma-Aldrich generously has agreed to allow the University to use its parking lot for evening and weekend games. This lot, located at the southeast corner of Compton Avenue and Spruce Street, features 429 spaces and is located just south of the arena. Parking is available beginning at 5:30 p.m. for weekday games. </li><li><strong>Laclede Garage:</strong> This covered<strong></strong>SLU garage at the corner of Grand Boulevard and Laclede Avenue offers between 500-1,000 spaces, depending on game time.</li></ul><p>There also are VIP parking areas. To view all the different options, <a href="" target="_blank">download an online Chaifetz Arena parking map</a>. </p><p><strong>Sigma-Aldrich Lot</strong><br />University officials say the Sigma-Aldrich lot may be the best-kept secret among all Chaifetz Arena parking options -- it's actually one of the closest parking areas and is expected to be one of the easiest to exit after a game, especially with its quick access to Interstate 64/Highway 40 east.</p><p><strong>Additional Parking Information</strong><br />Staffers from SLU's parking and card services will be on hand to greet Billiken fans to the Olive Garage and will work diligently to ensure vehicles enter and exit as efficiently as possible. But like any downtown garage after a Cardinals or Rams game, expect some delays getting out of the garage after Billiken games. </p><p>Officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and SLU's own department of public safety will be on hand to help direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic. </p><p>For visitors with special needs, there is a disabled drop-off area on the west side of Compton Avenue next to Chaifetz Arena. Several car-lengths long, this area is marked with signs and is further designated with orange cones during events. Recently, the University further enhanced access to the arena with the addition of curb cuts in the drop-off area.</p><p><strong>Jefferson</strong><strong> Avenue Bridge</strong><strong> Closure</strong><br />The Jefferson Avenue Bridge is closed, but is projected to reopen in December.
