Academic Achievement Awards

Each year Student Educational Services (SES) holds its annual Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony. The awards ceremony recognizes students in SES programs (Billiken Bridge to SuccessStudent Support Services, Talent Search) who completed 12 or more credit hours and earned a 3.0 or above GPA within the  calendar year.

Selection of awardees takes place in early January of the following calendar year. Selected students are notified via e-mail, with and invitation sent to parents via U.S. mail, in mid-January. The ceremony is held the second or third week in February.

Awards are presented in three categories:

  • Honors -  3.0 - 4.0 semester GPA
  • High Honors - 3.0 - 3.4 cumulative GPA
  • Highest Honors -  3.5 - 4.0 cumulative GPA

The evening provides an opportunity for parents and guests to celebrate the student's accomplishment in a relaxed atmosphere with SLU faculty and staff.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
