Medical Staff

The Student Health Center provides medical treatment, outpatient services, and a variety of educational programs for all Saint Louis University full-time, part-time, and graduate students.

The staff members of SHC include: a nurse director, a physician medical director, registered nurses, a medical assistant, a radiologic technologist and ancillary staff members.

The Student Health Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Physicians are Faculty of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Deborah Scheff

bio:  Ms. Scheff received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University School of Nursing in 1974. She received a Master's in Health Facilities Management from Webster University in 1979.  Prior to returning to St. Louis University in 1992 as the first Director of Student Health, her nursing career was spent in various types of nursing administrative positions, from OB-Gyn to Medical- Surgical nursing.  In 1977 she began 18 years of Hospital Administration with positions as Director of Nursing and Assistant Administrator of Clinical Services.

Renee Dunham

bio: Renee joined SLU Student Health in 2006 as a Financial Coordinator and accepted the position of Assistant Director in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado and her Master of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Women's Studies and a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Saint Louis University in 2014.

Ali Bradley

bio: Ali earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1994 and worked in Medical/ Surgery, Orthopedics and Geriatrics prior to joining SLU Student Health in 2004.

Katie Skosky

bio: Kate has been a Registered Nurse since 2011 and joined the SLU Student Health Center in 2014. She obtained her B.S. in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 2009. She graduated from the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 2010. Since graduating, she has worked in both Trauma and Orthopedics at Saint Louis University Hospital as well as the PICU at Cardinal Glennon. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Saint Louis University, and hopes to practice at the Student Health Center after graduation.

Debbie Catanzaro

bio: After graduated from Maryville University in 1972, Debbie acquired a varied background in nursing experiences at Lutheran Medical Center. Debbie was instrumental in establishing the Saint Louis University Student Health Center in 1992. After 23 years at SLU, she retired as the Assistant Director and has remained on staff as a prn nurse.

Elise Molner

bio: Elise received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago, and has worked in a Level One Trauma Center Emergency Department since 1998. In addition, she began working as PRN nurse at SLU Student Health in 2012.

Tiffany Jones

bio: Tiffany started working at SLU Student Health in 2009 after receiving her certificate from Saint Louis College of Health Careers and becoming a Registered Medical Assistant. She is currently a junior with the School of Professional Studies earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies and plans to continue on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing to become a Registered Nurse.

Shahida Ahmed

bio: Shahida has been a registered Radiologic Technologist since 2008. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education and then went on to receive her Applied Science Degree in Radiology at Forest Park Community college in St Louis. She completed her clinical at BJC Hospital, Des Peres Hospital and some local private practices. She joined the Student Health Team in 2010 and enjoys partnering with the students in their healthcare.

Kristine Schmidt

bio: Kristine has been with SLU Student Health since March 2014. Prior to SLU Kristine has 4 years of experience in Corporate Human Resources & HRIS as well as 7 years of administrative experience working in a hospital setting. She has always felt that she belongs in the medical field and would love to continue her education to become a registered nurse.

Kathy Fernandez

bio: Kathy has been with Saint Louis University since 2012, and joined SLU Student Health in March of 2015. Previously, she worked at Practice Management Operations on the medical side of the SLU campus. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing/Management with a minor in Management from Southeast Missouri State University.

Laura Tiepelman

bio: Laura has been with SLU Student Health since March 2015. She has been in the medical field for the last 28 years doing medical billing and front office duties; the majority of the time has been in the Neurosurgery and Orthopedic fields.

Micki Cobble

bio: Michelle (Micki) first was introduced to the healthcare industry in 1982. She was a technical writing specialist in the healthcare unit of a Dallas based corporation for nearly twenty-five years before transitioning to the patient care side of healthcare in 2007. Micki has been with SLU Student Health since 2008, serving the first 7 years in the general health clinics and billing operations and now provides office support solely to the physical therapy clinic.
