The Student Involvement Center at Saint Louis University is comprised of several functional areas, each supported by a number of professional, Master's level or graduate student staff. Susan Fanale is the Director of the Center and leads a team of talented and enthusiastic staff that are here to support, educate, and engage students. View our organizational chart.

Susan Fanale
Director, Student Involvement Center

Susan received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Masters in Education both from Eastern Illinois University. Susan began working at SLU in 2006 and is currently working on a PhD in Higher Education Administration at Saint Louis University.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the Student Involvement Center
  • Helping create and maintain experiences for student engagement and student learning
  • Working with a variety of campus initiatives that promote student success
  • Collaborating with campus partners to enhance the SLU student experience

Kim

Kim Morton
Assistant Director, Student Involvement Center

Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Math Education from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Science in Higher Education from Florida State University. Kim began working in the Student Involvement Center in March 2015. Kim enjoys working with students to develop their leadership skills, find their passion and make a difference here at SLU and beyond. Go Billikens!

Her responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing Fraternity and Sorority Life
  • Coordinating iLEAD: Servant Leadership Experience
  • Advising the Great Issues Committee and the Greek Standards Board
  • Working with Senior Year Experience programs

David Young
Assistant Director, Student Involvement Center

David recieved his Bachelors Degree in Communications from SLU and began working at SLU in 2006.

His responsibilities include:

  • Working with budgets and finances for the department and student organizations
  • Working with policies and procedures for student organizations
  • Co-advising Student Government Association

Cheryl

Cheryl Kaufman
Administrative Secretary

Cheryl began working at SLU 15 years ago; she spent her first several years in the Housing and Residence Life Office and the remainder of her duration here in Student Involvement Center.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests of the Student Involvement Center and answering their queries
  • Overall upkeep of the Student Involvement Center
  • Supervising student workers

Cindy 

Cindy Bush
Coordinator, Busch Student Center

Cindy received her Bachelor's in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University and her Master's in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University. She has been working in Higher Education for 31 years, worked at SLU in Housing and Residence Life from 1986-1989 and opened Reinert Hall when it was first purchased by SLU.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Overall facilities/upkeep of Busch Student Center
  • Supervising the Information Desk in Busch Student Center
  • Overseeing the Freshman Commuter Student Program
  • Advising the Commuter Student Association

Aleidra

Aleidra Allen
Program Coordinator for the Student Involvement Center 

Aleidra received her Bachelor of Science in Community Communications and Leadership Development from the University of Kentucky (UK) and her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University (LSU). She began working as a Program Coordinator in the Student Involvement Center in June 2013. Aleidra's philosophy on working with students is guided by Hebrews 10:24, "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works."

Her responsibilities include:

  • Fall Oversight of Sorority and Fraternity programming 
  • Sorority/Fraternity Recruitment and Intake
  • Advising Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, and Multicultural Greek Council

Jordan 

Jordan Glaser
Program Coordinator for the Student Involvement Center

Jordan received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Literacy from the University of Northern Iowa (GO PANTHERS!) and her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Illinois. She began working in the Student Involvement Center in June of 2014. Jordan loves seeing students connect what they're doing and learning at SLU to impacting the greater community and global issues.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating Fall and Winter Welcome
  • Supervising Oriflamme, the fall orientation leaders
  • Advising the Students Activities Board (SAB)
  • Chairs the Convocation Student Speaker Selection Committee, Fall Welcoming Planning Committee, and Student Honoraria Selection Committee

Greg

Greg Lucsko
Program Coordinator for the Student Involvement Center

Greg has been at SLU for four years with the last two and a half years as a Program Coordinator in the Student Involvement Center. He previously worked in the Student Success Center at SLU, and at Valparaiso University in Indiana. Greg received his BS in Psychology from John Carroll University, his MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and his MBA from SLU.  He is driven by SLU students' desire to use their gifts and education towards making a positive change in the world.

His responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating SLU 101
  • Selecting First Year Experience (FYE) Leadership Positions
  • Advising Transfer Student Programs

Bonnie

Bonnie Atkins
Graduate Assistant for the Student Involvement Center 

Bonnie received her Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry from Florida Christian College and her Master of Arts in intercultural studies from Lincoln Christian University. Bonnie is currently a Graduate Assistant in the Student Involvement Center and pursuing her Master's in Social Work at SLU.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating Greek Education on Critical Issues
  • Responsible for New Member Education for Fraternity and Sorority Life
  • Assisting with planning and implementation of Greek Leadership programming

Alissa Benchimol
Graduate Intern for the Student Involvement Center 

Alissa received her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Lindenwood University. Alissa is currently a Graduate Intern in the Student Involvement Center and pursuing her Master's in Sustainability at SLU.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the management of Chartered Student Organizations (CSO)
  • Managing the SLU Groups website
  • Assisting with CSO Leadership Programs, Involvement Fairs, and CSO Advisor Resources/Training

Erika Fetterolf
