Pre-Departure InformationCongratulations on your decision to study abroad!

Required Pre-Departure Forms
Saint Louis University requires several documents, prior to departure, to assure that you are prepared both for your semester abroad and for the semester in which you plan to return to the Saint Louis campus. The documents required for Madrid study abroad students and students studying abroad in destinations other than Madrid are slightly different. Please review the nececssary documents and contact the Study Abroad Office with any questions you may have. The Study Abroad Office recommends that you keep copies of important application and pre-departure documents for your personal records.
Passport and Visa Information
Please note that you must have a passport to travel abroad and many study abroad destinations require a student visa. Please read this section carefully as it provides additional information regarding passports and visas. Applying for a visa can be a lengthy process. It is important to review the visa requirements and application procedure for your host country, so you may initiate an application as soon as you receive your formal acceptance.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of International Services.
