Where You'll Study HousingCourses
Ascoli Piceno Study Center
UNH-in-Italy Ascoli Piceno Center is located in the historical city center. While offering a complete Italian studies curriculum, the program also assists students in fully integrating into Ascoli Piceno's academic and social environment. Students participate in an immersion experience that promotes both their intellectual and their personal development. The program will start out in Venice followed by an on-site orientation in Ascoli Piceno.
Participants are housed in shared apartments located within the historic center of Ascoli Piceno. Within the first week of the program, students decide collectively about specific housing arrangements. Students wishing to share apartments with Italian students do so at their own initiative and must express this intent to UNH-in-Italy during the application process. While meals are not included, students may choose to dine at the local university cafeteria.
Participants enroll at the UNH-in-Italy Ascoli Piceno Center where they take a wide variety of courses. Intensive Language courses are offered every semester and are required as part of the program. In addition, there have been drawing, painting, art history, history, literature, political science, and music courses. There also exists the possibility of pursuing a variety of internships sponsored by government agencies, businesses, schools and social and cultural institutions. There are activities and some course-related excursions planned during the semester and textbooks are included in the cost. For a list of courses, please click here.
