College Credit Courses for High School and College Students

Saint Louis University welcomes eligible high school juniors and seniors, as well as students from any college or university, to enroll in college credit courses this summer. We offer nearly 600 courses in a variety of subject areas. From History 112: Origins of the Modern World, to Public Health 502: Ethics of Public Health, there's bound to be a SLU course that will help you have a get-ahead summer.

High school students who have completed their sophomore year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 system or better, may, with written recommendation and grade verification from their high school counselor or principal, enroll as a visiting student during the summer and be eligible to receive college credit. Approved high school students may register for introductory courses (100 or 200 level) for which they have the proper preparation and prerequisites. For summer, students must fill out the online Summer Visiting Undergraduate Application.

Visiting Young Scholars Program - College Credit Courses for Advanced High School Students

Saint Louis University's Visiting Young Scholars Program provides the opportunity for a select group of high school students to begin their college experience in regular lower division Saint Louis University classes on the SLU campus, prior to high school graduation. This program bridges the gap between high school honors courses and full-time college student status, while providing participating students the opportunity of advancing academically prior to entering SLU as full-time students.

To register, please visit the website of the Visiting Young Scholars program.

Continuing Education

Within the Jesuit tradition of Saint Louis University, education does not stop once a diploma is in hand. SLU alumni and community members are called to pursue lives of "continuing education," whether in individual career fields, family experiences, community engagement and service, or academic studies and research. Saint Louis University is dedicated to providing such opportunities for continuing education, specifically in the classroom, lab and field settings. Students who are visiting from other colleges or universities may also apply.

We offer full degree programs, short-term credit and non-credit certificates, and CEUs. Courses range in length from one-day to a full semester, and may include on-campus coursework, distance learning and hybrid technologies.

For more information, please visit the website of Office of the University Registrar.
