Throughout the summer, departments and units at Saint Louis University host conferences and research programs for students, faculty, staff and other members of the SLU community.
The Department of Chemistry at Saint Louis University will host the undergraduate summer research program from June 4 - August 3, 2018 on SLU's campus in St. Louis, Missouri. Undergraduate researchers in this program will work in active research groups directed by faculty members in the Department of Chemistry.
Potential research projects in all sub-disciplines of chemistry are available to participants. Applicants must identify three chemistry faculty members whose research is of the most interest to the applicant in their application. Applicants selected for the program will be offered several projects to chose from.
Participants will receive a $5,000 stipend plus room and board. Participants will be housed in on-campus housing for the duration of the program.
Current undergraduate students with at least two semesters of coursework remaining before obtaining a bachelor's degree with a chemistry, biochemistry or chemical engineering major are eligible. Students in closely related fields may be considered; however, these students are encouraged to contact the program director before applying. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
To apply, fill out the online application and email your unofficial transcript to program director, Ryan McCulla. Applicants should provide contact information for two professional references. Applications received by March 1, 2018 are assured of full consideration but applications will be reviewed until all openings are filled.
