Gardens to Tables Culinary Camp
|Gardening - Cooking - Nutrition - Trips to Local Farms||
This camp engages students in gardening, cooking and nutrition activities. Campers prepare a variety of meals and work with the professional chefs, registered dietitians and master gardeners to learn principles of good nutrition, gardening and a healthy lifestyle. Each week has a different theme, from Asian to Mediterranean cuisine.
Campers journey to local farms, encountering firsthand sustainable local agriculture. Each session includes a Disability Awareness Day, helping campers learn what is involved when people have disabilities and how people with disabilities cook and garden independently.
