Congratulations on your hard work! There are a few things left to do before you don your cap and gown and celebrate.
- Download the Office of Graduate Education's instructions to apply online for graduation.
- Submit your application via Banner Self-Service by the date specified in the Graduate Education calender of deadlines under "Last day to initiate Candidacy procedures and complete the Application for Degree" (usually within the first two weeks of the semester).
- RSVP for precommencement here six weeks prior to the day of graduation.

Precommencement and Commencement
The university holds precommencement and commencement ceremonies in May and a consolidated midyear commencement ceremony in December.
Because the university does not host precommencement ceremonies for individual colleges and centers in December, many students who complete their degrees in the fall wait to participate in the May ceremonies. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if this is your intention.
Students who plan to complete their degrees in the summer may participate in the May precommencement ceremonies if they are within 3 credit hours of completing the degree and have registered for the summer term.
