Winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award - This warmhearted, irreverent, zany play is brilliantly imaginative in its examination of the plight of three young Mississippi sisters betrayed by their passions.
The Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the hospital. Their own personal troubles are grave and yet, somehow, hilarious...as we watch them strive to escape the past to seize the future.
